The startlist of The Race of the Future Champions, which will start tomorrow from Luni, is official. The 28 teams – 15 national selections, 12 regional selections and 1 local selection – will be presented from 17.30 in Lerici

Lerici, 3 September 2024 – Less than 24 hours to go until the official start of the 48th Giro della Lunigiana that will start from Luni for a total of five stage packed into four days of racing, with the double appointment on Friday 6 September before the grand finale on Saturday 7 in Terre di Luni.

The journey in search of Leo Bisiaux’s successor will therefore begin tomorrow with many worthy pretenders starting with Lorenzo Finn, the Italian champion who last year was the last rider to surrender to the transalpine rider. Among Finn’s main challengers in the fight for the Maglia Verde are Jakob Omrzel (Slovenia), Jasper Schoofs (Belgium), Paul Seixas (France), Pavel Sumpik (Czech Republic) and Patryk Goszczurny (Poland). Many important names at the start including Felix Ørn-Kristoff (Norway), Erazem Valjavec (Slovenia), Andrea Montagner (Friuli Venezia Giulia), Mattia Proietti Gagliardoni (Umbria), Enea Sambinello (Emilia Romagna) and Andrea Bessega (Friuli Venezia Giulia). Also at the start are cyclocross world champion Stefano Viezzi (Friuli Venezia Giulia) and track world champions Alessio Magagnotti (Trento) and Davide Stella (Friuli Venezia Giulia).

TEAMS PRESENTATION
Starting at 17.30 at the Rotonda Vassallo in Lerici, the 28 regional and national selections will parade to introduce the 163 young champions who will participate in #TheRaceOfTheFutureChampions. The teams presentation will be broadcast live on our Facebook.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE 48TH GIRO DELLA LUNIGIANA
The main social network will be Facebook where we will be live with ‘Lunigiana Caffè’, a corner in which the day’s stage will be presented through interviews with the protagonists of the race just minutes before the start. Lunigiana Caffè will not have a clearly defined timetable but will start approximately one hour after the start of the day’s stage. On our Telegram channel there will be live updates from the race, with photos, chronicle and short live broadcasts. On Saturday afternoon RaiSport will offer a summary of the five stages.
